The Pet Rock Project's inception occurred sometime last spring. While many months have since passed between then and now, the idea has been more or less the same: choose a rock and blog.
Out of many, three finalists were chosen. After a compulsory round in which the pros and cons of these finalists came to light - one, sadly, just didn't have the right "rock" look while another, just as sadly, didn't have the youthful glow that sells - one rock was chosen.
Formally given the name DJ Nike, not much is known about our pet rock's history at this point. Sure, rumors have been swirling and allegations leveled about a certain hometown, but nothing as yet has been confirmed. No doubt when DJ finally chooses to speak, answers will begin to surface.
